1) What Locksmithly Does

Locksmithly is a dispatch and advertising service. We connect people who need locksmith help with independent locksmith service providers. Providers are not our employees. Customers generally pay the locksmith provider on-site.

2) Definitions

To make this policy easier to understand:

  • Personal Information: Information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to you (like your name, phone number, email, or IP address).
  • Independent Locksmith Provider: A third-party locksmith business that may contact you and provide services. They are not our employees.
  • Vendors / Service Providers: Companies that help us run our Site and business (call routing, hosting, analytics, security, etc.).
  • Targeted Advertising: Showing ads to you based on your activity across different websites/apps.
  • "Sale" / "Share": These words have special meanings in some U.S. state privacy laws. In general:
    • "Sale" can include providing Personal Information to a third party for money or other value.
    • "Share" can include providing Personal Information for targeted advertising.

Important: When you request locksmith service, you are asking us to share your information with one or more locksmiths so they can contact you. This is a customer-directed disclosure to fulfill your request.

5) How We Share Information

A) Customer-directed disclosures to locksmith providers (to fulfill your request)

When you request locksmith service, you direct us to share your information with one or more independent locksmith providers so they can contact you and provide service.

This may include your name, phone number, location, and job details.

Independent locksmith providers have their own privacy practices. We do not control what a provider does with your information after they receive it.

B) Vendors who help us operate

We may share information with vendors such as:

  • hosting and security providers,
  • call routing, recording, and transcription providers,
  • analytics providers,
  • customer support tools,
  • email or messaging tools.

Vendors are allowed to use information only to provide services to us.

We may use analytics and advertising tools to measure performance and improve marketing. In some cases, disclosing information to advertising/analytics partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws.

If we engage in lead resale or lead distribution beyond your request, that may also be considered a "sale" under certain state laws.

You can opt out of "sale"/"sharing" for these purposes as described in Section 8.

You can opt out of marketing emails by contacting contact@locksmithly.com (and by using unsubscribe links where available).

8) Your Privacy Choices (Opt-Out + Requests)

A) Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (ads/lead resale)

What this opt-out does:

It tells us not to sell/share your Personal Information for targeted advertising, advertising measurement, or lead resale/distribution beyond your request (where those activities apply).

How to opt out:

  1. Visit /manage-data
    • You can opt out on your browser/device in one click.

We may request additional information to verify your identity before completing certain requests (like access or deletion). We respond within the time required by law.

We may deny requests if we cannot verify you, cannot find your information, if the request is fraudulent, or if the law allows or requires us to keep certain information.

C) Authorized agents

In some states, you can use an authorized agent to make requests for you. We may require proof the agent is allowed to act for you, and we may verify the request directly with you.

D) Non-discrimination
